Šuspa's botanical excursion for students and the public
Šuspa led the excursion to Žofinka peat bog, where the students have seen typical lowland peat swamp covered by sparse pine forest. We had problems reaching the center with the dominance of Pinus uncinata, due to the deep swamps but still, we have seen nice growth of Ledum palustre (recently shifted to the Rhododendron genus – i.e. R. tomentosus).
