Aleš had a talk at the IAVS symposium 2026
Aleš presented a study at the IAVS symposium in Gijón 2026 on how the plant species loss from a community affects the stability of biomass production through three main mechanisms: dominance, asynchrony among species, and the averaging effect arising from species diversity itself. Interestingly, already three species were able to stabilise the community to a level comparable to that of 30 species, but through different stabilising mechanisms. Photo by Terka.
