How to get to České Budějovice Aircraft There is no airport in České Budějovice but the city is easily accessible from Prague or Vienna (Austria) where large international airports are located. There are connections from major European and selected American and Asian destinations to either airports. Train Train operates very frequently (every hour or two) between Prague and České Budějovice, the journey takes around 2.5 hours and costs ca. 200 CZK. The connection from/to Vienna is considerably worse but still usable (approx. 4 direct trains per day). Local transport The municipal bus transport is pretty effective and popular in České Budějovice. The key line is number 3 which operates between the railway station and the university. If you want to get to the university you must get off at the stop named Jihočeská univerzita (it is annonced in the bus). |
