The name H. moldavicum Velen, represents the oldest name for this species, the locality is the only one known in central Europe.
Javorčíková D.Karyologické štúdium bryoflóry Slovenska IV.9–10
A karyological study of the Slovak bryoflora IV
Abstract: The contribution presents the chromosome numbers of seven moss species collected at different localities in Slovakia: Brachythecium albicans n = 7 mi, B. rutabulum n = 12 mi, B. salebrosum n = 13 mi, Grimmia pulvinata n = 26 me, Leskea polycarpa n = 11 m i , Paraleucobryum longifolium n = 12 mi, and Schistidium apocarpum n = 13 me. The karyological methods used are the same as described in the paper by Javorčíková et Peciar (1986), the nomenclature according to the papeFby Kubinská et Janovicová (1996).
Buryová B.Mech Hedwigia stellata - nový druh bryoflóry11–12
The moss Hedwigia stellata - a new species for the bryoflora of the Czech Republic
Abstract: The recently distinguished European species Hedwigia stellata Hedenäs was found as a new species of the bryoflora of the Czech Republic in a mixed population with H. ciliata var. ciliata. The ecology of European Hedwigia taxa is described and a key for identification is given based on Hedenäs (1994) and Erzberger (1996). This note is the first mention of the occurence of H. stellata in the Czech Republic and a more detailed study of the distribution of the genus will follow

Hájek M.Matúš Beňa - zapomenutý bryolog14–15
Matúš Beňa - a neglected bryologist
