2nd Symposium on biology of non-weedy hemiparasitic Orobanchaceae

The 2nd Symposium on biology of non-weedy hemiparasitic Orobanchaceae will take place in České Budějovice, Czech Republic, on September xx-xx 2008. The meeting will be hosted by the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia.

A wide range of topics will be presented and discussed. Any contribution dealing with any aspect of the biology of non-weedy hemiparasitic Orobanchaceae (ex-Scrophulariaceae) will be welcome.

The research on hemiparasitic Orobanchaceae has significantly leapt forward since the 1st Symposium held in Wageningen in 2004 and the subject is becoming more and more popular. Hence, the upcoming meeting will be an ideal opportunity to discuss the recent advancements and to establish contacts among different research teams. We also hope that it will help to establish a tradition of similar meetings that will be held every few years in the future.
