The moss Fissidens algarvicus in Slovakia
Abstract: The moss species Fissidens algarvicus Solms has a wide distribution in the Mediterranean area but it also runs far m the oceanic region of Europe as well as in tropical Africa. In SE Europe it penetrates from the territory of former Yugoslavia into the Pannonian lowland up to southern Slovakia. This moss has been discovered for the first tune in Slovakia at the village Ipeíské UÍany by the author. This locality is very close to the locality in Börzsöny Mts. (N Hungary).
